One of the most compelling things for me about the film (and it’s still raw as I only watched it a few hours ago), is the way in which it keeps you on edge, in a permanent sense of tension - like something awful is going to happen at any second.

Which conveys exactly (one imagines) the sense that the journalists heading through the war zone would feel. The fear and then the adjacent adrenaline rushes feel like awful explosions of emotions after holding your breath for an hour. And left me, as the viewer, weary and at times deeply uneasy about it.


Really very good film making.
