I disagree with this. Democracy, or more accurately, the way it’s applied, is failing the people.

It’s worth remembering that while the Government have been voted in with a large majority that allows them to run their mandate largely unchallenged, the majority of the electorate did NOT vote for them (they had 42% of the vote). The Liberal Democrats had 12% of the overall electorate yet have less than 2% of the seats in Parliament.

For the people to truly get a democratic representation of the nation, then a move away from First Past the Post politics is needed.
